Pitch Perfect

Pitch Perfect is a great inspiration when it comes to teamwork, because it shows how a new team that’s very diverse is able to work together. They have their own differences and challenges, but they learn how to get past that and achieve success in the things they do. That’s why it can be well worth seeing, since it’s inspirational and very fun too.

Ghostbusters

Ghostbusters shows that you need the entire team in order to eliminate the ghosts. There are plenty of teamwork focused ideas shown here, the fact that you need practice, leadership, hard work and constantly working together in order to bring your ideas to life. But it’s going to be well worth it in the long run.

Cool Runnings shows a group of Jamaican bobsledders that have a dream to win the Olympics. No one believes in them, which shows how important it is to trust yourself as a team, work together and have a sense of leadership. It’s a fun movie with lots of great things to learn about.

The Harry Potter movie series also shows that it’s great to work as a team since you can tackle any type of challenges. It also shows how faith is tested and why having a team is the ideal way to get past those kinds of problems. It helps add in a very interesting dynamic, while also pushing the limits of creativity in a way that’s truly empowering.

The Mighty Ducks

Even if this is a movie from the 90s, it really speaks to the idea of collaboration and teamwork. Only with the right leadership, focus and hard work will you be able to go from the bottom to the top. Even if it might not seem like a lot, the possibilities are limitless and you will be incredibly happy with the results in the end.

All these movies clearly show how important it is to focus on team building and collaboration. Although it can be hard to achieve those ideas right from the start, it’s safe to say that the possibilities are limitless. Sometimes all teams need is a quick reminder and that’s where quotes can come in handy. Quotes take big ideas and compact it down into a short burst of knowledge creating an easy tool for employees to easily refer to.

Prefer to create a quote that’s unique to your organization? Here are some quick tips to make your quotes count.

  1. Start with writing down the objective you want to achieve by creating the quote and work towards simplifying it.
  2. Avoid using too many big words. William of Ockham, the 14th-century Franciscan friar and logician once said, Pluralitas non est ponenda sine neccesitate” (known as Occam’s Razor) or in other words, the simplest explanation is best
  3. Stay away from long sentences. Although most people are guilty of speaking in a somewhat rambling way, leaders are expected to keep things sharp and sweet.
  4. Read the quote aloud once you are done. The final test of whether your quote is ready for sharing is whether you are comfortable reading it aloud. If it creates some uneasiness, chances are, it will probably still require some work. PS.
